I always wanted to know how they made the great works of art with an Etch-a-Sketch, or for that matter how the silly thing worked. But I guess they figured lots of curious little fingers would be trying to find that out because they made that thing like it was a black box going into an airliner! And I could never seem to keep all my Spirograph shapes together...why is that?
